THE PARADE IS SCHEDULED FOR 10 AM, SATURDAY, JUNE 13TH. ******PARADE ROUTE: NORTH 24TH STREET, FROM LAKE TO SPRAGUE. ******ALL REGISTRATION FEES MUST BE PAID AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION. REFUNDS WILL NOT BE ISSUED.
The line‑up is limited to the first 100 entries. Except for cheer, dance, drill teams, parade officials, and sponsors, entries will be placed in registration order. We reserve the right to adjust placements at our discretion.
*Each entry is limited to one vehicle and up to 50 walkers. One additional vehicle may be added for the extra fee listed in the fee schedule.
*Entries may not include other groups within their registration. Each organization or group must register and pay separately.
*When registering, each unit must submit a two‑sentence introduction for the parade announcer. This is your only chance to promote your unit, and no changes will be accepted after registration.
*Do not throw candy into the crowd. Make sure everyone in your unit knows this rule. Violations may result in immediate removal from the lineup.
*Best of the Best trophies will be awarded to drill, dance, cheer, float, and car club entries. Only one Best of the Best trophy will be awarded to Greek organization.
All competing units will have ninety (90) seconds to perform at the judges' stand at 24th & Wirt St.
*Winners will be announced on Friday, June 19th. Two representatives from each winning unit will be invited to receive their trophy on Saturday, June 20th, during the NAACP General Membership meeting.
“Weapons, alcohol, vaping, smoking, and profane language are strictly prohibited in all parade areas. Violations may result in removal of the entire unit.”
All motor vehicle operators must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance. Reckless driving and burnouts are strictly prohibited.
All motor vehicles must be decorated and display signs identifying the name of the entry.
Riders are prohibited from sitting on the roof, hood, or any elevated part of a vehicle. The NAACP assumes no liability for individuals who disregard this rule.
Each vehicle will receive a lineup number that must be displayed in the lower driver‑side windshield. Vehicles without a number will be removed.
Parade participants must adhere to the designated route unless directed otherwise by the OPD.
